    ABOUT

PFA (Pazo Fine Art) has emerged as one of the leading venues for contemporary art in the Washington metropolitan area, presenting innovative and pioneering exhibitions across diverse media. The program highlights local, emerging, and mid-career artists, while also re-contextualizing historical figures whose contributions continue to shape the evolving discourse of modern and contemporary art.

Founded in 2020 by Luis Pazo, formerly Gallery Director at Osuna Art & Antiques and mentored by the esteemed gallerist and collector Ramón Osuna (1937–2019), PFA has quickly established a distinct presence within the cultural landscape.

With locations in both Maryland and Washington, D.C., the gallery plays a vital role in the region’s arts community. Its Kensington space anchors a thriving cultural corridor, complementing Antique Row, the oldest and largest antiquing district in the metropolitan area. In 2023, PFA expanded to Washington’s historic U Street corridor, further solidifying its position as a dynamic platform for artistic dialogue and exchange.

As PFA’s reach has grown, its mission has remained centered on the critical re-evaluation of historical works and the elevation of underrepresented voices. Through a rigorously curated exhibition strategy, the gallery explores the intersections of form, color, and perception, with particular focus on movements such as Color Field, Neo-Geo, and Light and Space. Each exhibition is conceived to foster intellectual engagement, foregrounding the distinctive perspectives of artists and underscoring their lasting contributions to the history of abstraction.

Equally integral to PFA’s mission is its commitment to scholarly publications. Produced in-house with conceptual and archival rigor, these catalogues are conceived not as temporary records but as lasting contributions to art history. Extending the reach of each exhibition, they preserve critical dialogue, situating the gallery’s program within broader historical and cultural frameworks. In doing so, PFA advances meaningful conversations and fosters fresh interpretations that enrich contemporary discourse and deepen art’s resonance within society.
